Patron: Prof. Amiya Kumar Rath

Prof. Amiya Kumar Rath, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our conference on sustainable business. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, he has made significant contributions as an educationist, researcher, author, and mentor.

Previously serving as the Adviser (ICT) at the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru, Prof. Rath has also held the position of Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla. His academic credentials include a master's degree (M.Tech) and a doctorate in Computer Engineering, complemented by an MBA in Systems Management.

Prof. Rath has authored around 150 research papers and nine books, mentored 13 Ph.D. scholars, and supervised 20 M.Tech graduates. He has been involved in over 150 national and international conference committees and has served as Program Chair for 15 prestigious international conferences. His contributions to education have been recognized with multiple awards and his participation in over 50 international conferences has fostered global collaborations.

Prof. Rath’s leadership and dedication to academic excellence are set to provide invaluable guidance and support to our conference, ensuring a meaningful and impactful discussion on sustainable business practices.His significant contributions to academia and research have earned him four distinguished awards. Additionally, his expertise has been sought by the NAAC, where he has served as a peer team member, contributing to the evaluation of educational quality across over 50 higher education institutions in India.

General Chair: Prof. Satya Swaroop Debashish

Dr Sathya Swaroop Debasish is a full Professor (since year 2018) and presently Head of the Department of Business Administration in Utkal University. With a throughout Higher First Class career he is having 25 years of Experience in Teaching and Research with Universities such as Nirma University (Ahmedabad), GGS Indraprastha University (Delhi), KIIT University (Bhubaneswar) and Fakir Mohan University (Balasore, Odisha). He was selected and visited South America/Brazil in Group Study Exchange Programme (fully sponsored by Rotary International). Presently, he is the Chairman (Board of Studies) and Chairman (Department Research Committee) in Utkal University. He has previously served as the Co-ordinator of Executive MBA Program, Special Officer (National Academic Depository (NAD), Director of Sports Council and Center Co-ordinator of Global Center for Rural Studies (a Center of Excellence under RUSA 2.0 in Utkal University). Prof Debasish is currently the Director/Professor-in-Charge of Utkal Innovation and Incubation Center (UIIC). Further, he has authored over 35 Research Papers published in Scopus-indexed journals and UGC-CARE listed Journals, with citations of over 960, h-index of 16 and i-10 index of 24. He has completed One UGC Sponsored Research Project in the area of Financial Services and Mutual Funds. He has authored/co-authored 9 text books which are published by reputed publishers like Prentice Hall of India, Himalaya Publishers and Excel Books. He has over 30 paper presentations in Seminars/Conferences and Chaired many Technical sessions in Conferences. He is the Syndicate nominee to Board of Studies in Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Baroda and VC nominee (for Board of Studies) to many Institutions under a and VC nominee (for Board of Studies) to many Institutions under Utkal University. Dr Debasish is the member of Affiliation Committee , member of Research Committee and Member of Board of Studies for Biju Patnaik Technical University, Odisha. Further, he has conducted PhD viva at over 40 Universities across India as Examiner/Adjudicator and also Selection Committee Subject Expert in Faculty selection at various Institutes/Universities of repute both in Odisha and outside the state. He has already successfully guided 16 PhD Scholars and 5 scholars are under guidance at present. Prof Debasish has successfully completed ‘Nurturing Future Leadership Program’ under Ministry of Education, Govt of India conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta during July 2024.

Organising Chair: Prof. Manas Ranjan Kabat

Dr. Manas Ranjan Kabat, currently serving as the Principal of IMIT, Cuttack, is also a distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, Odisha, India. His extensive research interests encompass Internet and Quality of Service, Computer Algorithms, Real-Time Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Wireless Sensor Networks.

Dr. Kabat has made significant contributions to the field as an editorial member and reviewer for several renowned international journals. He is affiliated with numerous international organizations and has successfully undertaken various administrative responsibilities. An accomplished author, Dr. Kabat has published numerous research articles and books on topics related to his research interests.

His expertise and leadership in both academia and administration will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our conference on sustainable business.

Organising Chair, Prof.(Dr.) Deepak Kumar Sahoo

Prof. (Dr) Deepak Kumar Sahoo, Principal, College of IT & Management Education (A Constituent College of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha), has done his P.G. in Business Administration (1993), Ph.D from Utkal Universit (2009), and D.Litt from Sambalpur University(2016). He has served IMIS, OUHS, Bhubaneswar, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Dhenkanal College (Auto), Dhenkanal, and Regional College of Management, Bhubaneswar. He has (co) authored six books in Management Education, and 40 articles and book chapter in journals. He has guided two Ph.D scholar, an Accessor in NAAC, and Member in SIQA of Odisha State Open University.

Program and Publication Chair: Dr. R.Lakshmipathy

Dr. R. Lakshmipathy is an accomplished academic and researcher with a Ph.D. from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). Currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Directorate of Learning and Development, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, he is actively involved in advancing education and research.

With over 50+ publications in reputed journals, Dr. Lakshmipathy holds an Indian patent and contributes to the scientific community as an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports (Nature Journal) and Associate Editor-in-Chief of Mari Papel y Corrugado. He also plays a key role as the Programme Leader for the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning and serves as a Board Member of the Society of Chemical and Synthetic Biology.

His expertise spans academia, research, and editorial leadership, making him a distinguished figure in his field.

Programe Chair: Prof. Ravi Narayan Subudhi

Prof. Rabi Narayan Subudhi, a Senior Professor of Management with a total teaching experience of over 38years, takes interest in quantitative research. After completing Masters & M. Phil. degree in Statistics, he completed his Ph.D. (in Management), with Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) from CSIR, Govt. of India. He is also an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, where he completed FDPM in 2001. After Serving Berhampur University Odisha for 20 years, he joined VIT University as a professor in 2006, and then he joined KIIT Universityas Professor of Management till his retirement last year 2024. He has published 17 books and over 90 research papers in reputed journals. His edited books are published by reputed international publishers like, Springer, Emerald and Taylor & Francis. He was the Chief Editor of peer-reviewed research journal Parikalpana of KIIT University, for over 12 years. He was invited to edit special issues of International Journalsthrice, as Guest Editor. He is presently the president of ORSI Bhubaneswar – Odisha chapter.

Programe Chair: Dr. Chandrakanta Sahoo

Dr. Chandrakanta Sahoo is Associate Professor of HRM at IMIT, Cuttack, India. He holds a PhD in Business Administration from Utkal University on CSR, an MBA in HRM and Marketing, an MA in English, and UGC-NET (Management). With 17+ years’ teaching and research, he specializes in Organizational Behavior, HR, Business Research Methods, and data analytics tools including Power BI and Google Data Studio. He advances institutional quality (NAAC, NBA, IQAC, ISO), leads academic audits, conferences, and curriculum design, and is an ISO-certified internal auditor and AICTE-certified Universal Human Values teacher. A member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability and the NHRD Network, he has published widely on CSR, employee engagement, sustainable development, organizational excellence, and tourism. He convened ICSB 2025 and served on the editorial board of its Springer Nature proceedings, reflecting a strong blend of academic expertise, administrative leadership, and active scholarship.

Convenor- Dr. Swati Mishra

Dr. Swati Mishra is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the MBA (OB & HRM) Department of IMIT, Cuttack, bringing nearly fourteen years of experience in teaching, research, and corporate practice. She holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from Kalinga Institute of Technology, focusing her research on the intrinsic motivation and retention of Indian Gen Y software professionals. Dr. Mishra also possesses an MBA in HR and Marketing from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha.

With a rich background in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Development, and Organizational Behavior, Dr. Mishra has taught a wide array of courses for MBA, MCA, and BBA students. She combines her academic prowess with extensive research experience, utilizing modern analytical tools to derive innovative insights into employee retention strategies.

Dr. Mishra's professional journey includes two years of corporate experience with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICA), where she excelled in administrative and operational roles, contributing to revenue generation. Her academic contributions include twenty-four journal publications and eleven conference papers, alongside active participation in numerous conferences, faculty development programs, and workshops.

Her teaching philosophy emphasizes quality education through application-based modules, student mentorship, and coordination of value-added programs such as Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and Management Development Programs (MDP). Dr. Mishra is also dedicated to the holistic development of students, including personality development, soft skills training, and placement services.

Dr. Swati Mishra’s dedication to academic excellence and her dynamic approach to education and research make her a valuable asset as the co-convener of the conference.

Co-Convener: Dr. Bamadev Mahapatra

Dr. Bamadev Mahapatra is currently working as an Assistant Professor(Economics) at Institute of Management and Information Technology (IMIT), Cuttack. Before his association with IMIT Cuttack, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Economics at KSFH, KIIT-DU, Bhubaneswar. He holds a Ph.D. from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad. His educational journey also comprises an M.Phil in Economics from North Odisha University, a Masters from Ravenshaw University, and a Graduation from Fakir Mohan University. Adding to his accomplishments, he also cleared the UGC-NET exam in Economics. Before embarking on his doctoral journey, he gained experience as a Research Assistant at premier institutions like NIN Hyderabad, IGIDR Mumbai, and NCDS Bhubaneswar.His pedagogical interests includeMicroeconomics, Managerial Economics, International Business, and Econometrics. Moreover, his areas of research interest include Energy Economics, Natural Resource Economics, Agricultural Economics, and Development Economics, attested by his contributions to well-regarded SCOPUS, WoS, and ABDC-indexed journals. His scholarly work finds publication through reputedpublishers, including Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, Inderscience, Wiley, Oxford University Press, and so on.
